• Please be aware of new changes. I Latayvia am excited to take my brand to the next level. I kindly ask that all clients come dressed appropriate and presentable. It's now a requirement. However, I desire to take pictures or record my work that I service on my clients. If you are getting a hair service please have your makeup done, if you wear makeup. If you are getting a makeup service please have your hair properly styled and done. I kindly ask "No bonnets or head scarfs" please. Thank you for your cooperation in advance. 

 

Privacy Policy/Expectations

• I Latayvia is committed to providing excellent customer service to my clients. My goal is to make your experience at my salon pleasant and comfortable as possible. Please arrive on time for your scheduled appointment. At the time of your appointment please arrive with your hair already taken down/detangled (completely combed out) ready to be treated and shampooed unless your stylist approves of taking hair down and detangling your hair. If not there will be an additional fee for the stylist to do so. If you want a sew-in install a consultation is required before booking to discuss style and the proper hair you will need to make sure your install is done flawlessly. I will help with recommendations for hair brands I have worked with. Hair brands outside of recommendation will not be serviced under any circumstances. However sew-in appointments are done during the week and not on the weekend unless its approved by your stylist. For consideration of our clients and staff, I DO NOT allow additional guest and children unless they are being serviced. Although I love children, I only services children 6 and up. I kindly ask NO food allowed in the salon. 

 

• I Latayvia understands the importance of protecting and respecting my customers personal information. Any personal information collected on my site is kept confidential and not reused, rented, sold, or disclosed. I provide this statement to help you to understand what I may do with any personal information that I obtain from you. Your personal information is used only for the purpose of fulfilling your hair appointment, fees, or payment of service. We respect the privacy rights of clients that book online and recognize the importance of protecting the information collected about them. This Privacy Policy navigates how we collect, store and use the information that you provide us with. By providing your personal information with me, via online you approve your acceptance of this Privacy Policy. Also you agree that we may collect, use and disclose your personal information as described in this Privacy Policy statement.

 

Information Collected 

• Any appointments that is booked with me, please understand I will need to hold personal information including your name, email address, phone numbers, home address, and credit card billing address(s) so that we can process and fulfill your online booking service. We do not view or save your credit card or debit card information as SQUARE or PayPal processes the payment.​​

 

Retainer/Fees/No calls-No shows/Etc.

• It's important to know before you book make sure your appointment time has been approved by me. However in order to book an appointment with me your credit card and a NON REFUNDABLE retainer starting at $30 is required. The nonrefundable retainer amount depends on your service price. The retainer(s) WILL NOT be refunded under any circumstances. However the retainer(s) will go toward your service(s). It's necessary you book under the service you want done and not just under any service, because whatever service you book, will be the service you're provided the day of your appointment. Failure to do so can result in $10 maintenance fee or your appointment being rescheduled. So it's important to pay attention to what your booking. However email us if you have any question regarding any service(s). Please take note, there is a cancellation fee which is the retainer amount of whatever service(s) you booked. If you need to reschedule you must do so 24hrs before your appointment or you will be charged the retainer amount paid and also be required to put down an additional retainer for your new appointment. If you are a "no call no show" you will be charged the full amount of your service. Time is everything and no call and no shows is lost money. If you are 15mins late there will be an addition $20 added, unless you speak with me and I tell you otherwise. I accept Cash, Debit, Credit, Apple Pay, Venmo, and Zelle. All contact information will be provided in your appointment confirmation email. By choosing to book any appointments you are accepting and approving everything mentioned in this statement. 

 

Client Satisfaction/Defamation

• I Latayvia will do my best to provide all clients with the best quality service(s). However it is important and the responsibility of the client to examine their service(s) to make sure one is satisfied with the quality of what was done. Please take note! All services are final once client approves satisfaction of service, pay, and leave appointment. If you want something redone or fixed, it must be done the same day of your appointment. If you try to come back a day later or days later with the request of a redo or for something to be fixed, you will be charged for the service(s). It is so important to be honest with the stylist servicing you, so that you leave satisfied and confident with your service(s). Wrong-fully defaming or slandering Latayvia will not be tolerated and can result in a civil suit (Defamation Law "Libel"). By booking an online appointment with Latayvia, you are accepting and approving everything mentioned in this statement disclaimer.

Disputing Charges/Civil court

• I Latayvia will respects clients and their time, but keep in mind, this is a service(s) in exchange for money transaction(s). I have informed clearly the actions that would be taken if you show failure to follow the policies. However if you violate the policies and you get charged the fee(s) rightfully charged, but if you dispute any charges with your bank. Keep in mind we have the right to take you to civil court, speaking that each statement above is a bounding agreement if you book any services on this site. Take note if you dispute anything, you will never be able to book services again. By booking an online appointment with me, you are accepting and approving everything mentioned in each statement disclaimer.​

TRAVEL POLICY

• I am an "on-site makeup artist", which means I travel to you for your luxury experience. I come prepared with makeup for all different skin tones and types, directors chair, ring light for good lighting, camera to take before and after's, and a table if needed. My goal is to make your prep-time luxurious, fun, and relaxing.

• A travel fee is applied at my starting point and out which starts at $50. (My location Elgin IL)

• Anything over 250 miles from my start point with a start time at 7am or before, I require to stay the night in a motel or hotel the night prior. Motel/hotel will need to be covered by you. Of course I will not expect a 5 star hotel. I just ask to be closer to your location so I am not tired or exhausted and I can work to my full ability the day of your special day! 

PARKING FEES

• Where parking, valet or toll fees may be incurred, this must be paid or covered by the client.

LIMITATIONS & LIABILITY

• Clients must understand I will not be responsible for any damage, injuries, to any persons or property. All makeup products and brushes are safe to use and is kept sanitized if you don't use your "Exclusively Yours Makeup Kit". I Latayvia Childs understand the importance of hygiene. All Products are sanitized between every makeup application. It’s the clients responsible to make me the makeup artist aware of any disorders and/or allergies. Therefore any skin conditions and allergies should be reported before the application.

• As a MUA  I will provide all products necessary to preform the services desired. However if you have preferred products you would like to use, keep in mind it does not change the price of the service. All products used are FDA approved and are popular products from company’s like MAC, Anastasia Beverly Hill, Lanćome, Becca Cosmetics, Color Pop, Juvia’s Place, Tarte Cosmetics, Urban Decay, Nars Cosmetics, Maybeline, L.A Girl Pro Cosmetics, Morphe Cosmetics, Smashbox, Laura Mercier, Too Faced, Bobbi Brown, and more. 

Performance/Timing/Delays

• I Latayvia Childs will do my best to provide the best luxury experience desired. However PLEASE make sure the designated area is clean with good air flow and plenty of space for me to work. I will not be responsible for any delay or non-performance under any circumstances beyond my control. It is the clients job to be on time and ready. However PLEASE be prepared to start upon my arrival. Each client receiving makeup should have groomed eyebrows, clean faces, and ready to start. Keep and mind it very important so that we can stick to the schedule so that you are satisfied with application.

PUBLICATION

• The Client may publish or disclose the Work and shall acknowledge myself Latayvia Childs in all such publications. When Client signs contract, the Client gives me Latayvia Childs permission to use his or her photographic likeness for online and print advertising for Latayvia Childs Makeup Experience. All rights not expressly granted are reserved to I Latayvia Childs. Latayvia Childs Makeup Experience reserves the right to amend any information at any time, including, but not limited to, rates, policies and product offerings, without prior notice.

CANCELLATION POLICY

• You may cancel your services at any time however; you will forfeit ANY and ALL retainers and/or payments made. In the event that I am unable to perform services for any reason including but not limited to sickness, accident, weather, etc., reasonable accommodations shall be made up to and including a full refund of deposits and services not provided.

 

PRIVACY POLICY

• Any order that is placed with me, I need to hold personal information including your name, email address, phone numbers, billing address, and credit card information so that I can process, secure, and fulfill your order and service(s). I do not view or save your credit card or debit card information as secure processor will process the payment(s).
